Transitions and Development Officer of the Diocese:
Gene has served in parishes as a rector and an interim priest. A trained organizational development consultant, he is available to assist parishes in stewardship development, new member ministry, and vestry planning and development. Gene is available at Evans House on Thursdays and for meetings at other times by prior arrangement. Youth Coordinator
Aimee is responsible for designing, planning and conducting diocesan youth retreats, as well as the care and feeding of our Youth Ministries Team. Alan Boyce
Deputy for Administration and Secretary of the Diocese
Alan is responsible for the overall administrative work of the diocese. Additionally, he serves as the Secretary of the Phoebe Needles Center, Inc., The Trustees of the Funds and the Southwestern Virginia Episcopal Fund. He has held these positions since 1988. Director of Grace House Learning and Training Center

Diocesan Services Coordinator
Jenny's responsibilities include serving as staff support to the Deputy for Administration, posting financial receipts, serving as office manager, coordinating volunteer activities, and assisting diocesan committees and boards. Kate Garcia
Kate serves as the Coordinator of the Bishop Marmion Resource Center, the diocesan lending library of books, videos, curricula, and more. Kate edits Connections, a monthly publication for the clergy and lay leaders of the diocese, as well as diocesan publications such as Convocation and Council materials. She is the contact person for questions regarding active clergy and lay employee insurance. Kate works at Evans House Monday to Friday, between 9 and 3. She attends Christ Church, Roanoke. Bill Lindsay
Planned Giving Program Coordinator
Bill provides staff support to the diocesan Planned Giving Committee and the Legacy Society, whose members have included the church in their estate planning. He also writes grant applications for the diocese and the Phoebe Needles Centerand supports other fund-raising activities. He has some other responsibilities in the area of financial management and is the diocesan disaster response. Bill is in the office daily from 12:30 to 5PM. He is a member of Christ Church, Roanoke. The Right Reverend F. Neff Powell
Bishop
Consecrated the 5th Bishop of the Diocese of Southwestern Virginia on October 26th, 1996, Bishop Powell is a native of Oregon. Prior to his election he served on diocesan staffs of the Dioceses of Oregon and North Carolina. In addition, he had previously served in parish ministry at two churches in Oregon. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Virginia Theological Seminary and the Governing Board for the College of Preachers. Computer and Financial Volunteer
Jim has been volunteering for the diocese since retiring from a long, successful career in teaching. Lynn Robertson
Bishop's Secretary, Data Resources Manager, Editor, Prayer Calendar
Lynn is the Bishop's secretary. She also edits the Prayer Calendar, serves as staff support for Companions for Mission Committee and the Commission on Ministry, and helps parishes keep up with the various reports they must file with the diocesan and national church offices each year.
