Day Three on the Road!
We are grateful to the folks who joined us last night online and at Grace Episcopal Church in Lexington. If you missed it, you can watch it here on our Youtube Channel.
We began the yesterday by doing Morning Prayer with the diocesan staff.
Candidates had time to meet with and get to know staff members in the morning, then we drove to Staunton to explore the town and visit Trinity, Emmanuel, and Stuart Hall. After our time in Staunton, we drove the caravan down to Lexington where our candidates met with some young men from Boys Home of Virginia and with Chris Doyle, Director of Boys Home. We closed this conversation by praying together and laying of hands.
Today, the candidates, spouses, and Transition Committee are heading out for another day in the Diocese of Southwestern Virginia! We are starting our third day together in the New River Convocation where the Candidates will join the clergy for breakfast and conversations. Afterwards, we’ll travel to the Lynchburg Convocation for our second Meet and Greet at Westminster Canterbury, Lynchburg. Join us in person or online from 6-8pm to hear more from our four candidates as they explore their sense of call and answer questions on themes of reconciliation and justice. We will see you tonight!
