Day One of our Meet-and-Greet Week
Dear Siblings in Christ—
Our candidates and their spouses arrive in Roanoke today. We will gather this evening for our opening worship and dinner together with the Standing Committee. The first of three opportunities to Meet and Greet our candidates for bishop is tomorrow evening from 6-8 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church in Lexington. Wednesday, the candidates will be at Westminster Canterbury in Lynchburg. The third and final Meet and Greet will be on Thursday at Christ Episcopal Church in Marion. Each Meet and Greet will have different topics and questions, and all three will be available on the Diocesan YouTube channel live and as a recording.
You’ll hear from us each day this week as we share photos and stories from our journey around the Diocese, as well as information about our Meet and Greets each evening. We hope you will follow along on social media, come to or watch the Meet and Greets, and most importantly, that you will pray for our Diocese and our candidates daily this week.
