Grace House on the Mountain

Grace House on the Mountain is a ministry center of the Episcopal Diocese of Southwestern Virginia perched on Sandy Ridge near Norton and St. Paul in Wise County, VA. Grace House seeks to be a place of social justice and advocacy for the welfare of the Appalachian people and endeavors to extend the love of Christ by reaching out to the community showing mercy and compassion through responsiveness by “working with, not for” families in the surrounding areas.

Boys Home of Virginia

Boys Home of Virginia transforms lives helping students who are facing adversity become successful men of character by developing their full spiritual, academic, physical, and social potentials. Boys Home was founded in 1906 by the Rev. George Floyd Rogers of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Covington and is a mission of the Episcopal Diocese of Southwestern Virginia. Boys Home provides students a healthy and supportive environment. Their programming offers life-changing experiences. Caring adult supervision, a welcoming school environment, a stable living situation, and opportunities to explore educational and career options help students become responsible, well-rounded young men.

The impact of Boys Home extends beyond the transformation of the lives of the students served. Graduates go on to make a difference in their families, contribute their gifts to the community, and become role models for the next generation of men.
