Parish Reports Guide 2022-2023 – Please use this document as a yearly guide for your parish reports.

Please submit the following forms by their respective due dates to provide the diocesan office with updated administrative, financial, and organizational information. All forms are submitted electronically, and no paper copies are required. PDF forms should be downloaded, signed, and returned to the diocesan office via email at [email protected].

Parochial Reports

2023 Parochial Reports must be filed online with Episcopal Church by March 1, 2024. Email a copy of the report to [email protected].

Log in to https://reports.dfms.org to file your Parochial Report. To reset your password, click “I forgot my password” on the login page of the filing website. Email [email protected] for password assistance.

Parish Audit Reports

Send completed audit reports to the Diocesan Office via email at [email protected]g by August 31.

The 2023 Audit Notification & Exemption Request is due by April 1, 2024. Please note: ALL parishes must submit the 2023 Audit Notification & Exemption Request Form.

If your parish is completing Agreed Upon Procedures or an Internal Financial Review for FY 2023, the materials will be emailed to you directly with a letter from the Bishop outlining what format you are to use. The packets listed below will not go live on the website until the letters go out.

Financial Review Packet (FY 2023) – This packet is for internal or external financial reviews only. Audit exemption approval by the Bishop & Standing Committee is required for these review methods.

AUP Packet (FY 2023) – This packet is for parishes having an outside firm perform Agreed-Upon-Procedures (AUP). Exemption approval by the Bishop & Standing Committee is required for this engagement.

Lay Licenses

Lay license applications are submitted as needed. Once completed, please return to the diocesan office by email or mail (PO Box 2279, Roanoke, VA 24009). For questions about lay licensing, please email Kristen Hester.

  • Once a license is signed by the Bishop, it is valid for a period of three years and may be renewed.
  • Keeping a record of when to renew licenses is the responsibility of the individual parishes.
